But you do know that you want to preserve and share your memories long into the future. A professional scrapbook or photo book is the perfect way to do just that—and whether you need help with getting started, finishing an old project, or anything in between, I’m here to help.
Should I do a photo book or a scrapbook? How much will it cost?
It’s completely up to you—what memories and mementos do you want to preserve? How many copies of the book would you like? If you want multiple copies, a photo book is the best way to tell (and share) your story. If one copy is all you need, and you want your original photos, cards, and memorabilia preserved, a scrapbook is best. The cost for either will vary depending on the length of the book, but thanks to my package pricing, you will know your total cost upfront. What is the process?
Whether you have me design and complete your book for you, or you simply need assistance with scanning or other services, the process is easy. It begins with a free consultation. After that, you’ll fill out a worksheet (with my assistance if needed) that will help me learn about your project, then pay a deposit, and provide the necessary materials. How long will my project take to complete?
Some projects—for example, those with fewer photos, limited or no scanning, and pre-decorated or plain pages—often can be completed in a week or two. Others, such as projects with hundreds of photos, a lot of scanning, and custom-created scrapbook pages, can take a few months. If you have a specific deadline, I will be up front about whether your project can realistically be completed in that time.
How many photos do I need to provide? Can I give you traditional photos to scan as well as digital images? How do I send you digital images? Do you scan memorabilia?
You can provide as many photos or digital images as you want! A 32-page traditional scrapbook would require at least 32 photos, with a maximum of approximately 120 4x6 photos. Digital images can be provided via flash drives, SD cards, CDs/DVDs or Dropbox. Hard-copy photos and memorabilia, originals or duplicates, can be scanned as needed.
How do I pick out the background or theme for the book?
I will provide a link for you to view available pre-decorated pages or digital options; you also can visit my studio to view scrapbook materials in person or digital pages on my computer.
